The City tries to delay the pubic input process for this review!

Instead of by July 30, they want to delay the positive declaration (which starts the public input) until September! This allows them to work with the developer to gather more information and potentially avoid the public review process as a whole!

THIS IS NOT OKAY!

IF THEY TRY TO KEEP US OFF THE AGENDA, WE JUST PUT OURSELVES ON IT!

THURSDAY IS THE LAST CHANCE TO SPEAK UP before the meeting where the council makes its decision!

This is our BEST CHANCE to deliver our message before the vote!

BEFORE THE END OF JULY, the city council will have to make the perhaps most consequential decision of the entire process!

AHEAD OF THIS DECISION, WE NEED TO SPEAK OUT NOW!

This means that Thursday’s City Council meeting is our LAST CHANCE to to demand a positive declaration before the city meets and makes its decision!

WE DEMAND A POSITIVE DECLARATION:

– A positive declaration essentially says: yes, there is a good chance for negative impacts, we need to study those impacts, and the community must get a say in what needs to be studied.

Should the Council issues a “NEGATIVE DECLARATION” instead, it would mean:
– no studies
– no public input
– the development could move into approval
